📜 A bit of history
The name “Maiolica” could derive from:
• malvasia → due to the similarity in sound and ancient ampelographic confusion
• maiolica (the ceramic) → because of the brilliance of the wine’s colour
It was very widespread until the 19th century, then almost disappeared. Today it is being revived by small producers who want to enhance lesser-known grape varieties.

Vinification
Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, using grapes partly crushed and partly whole bunches. Malolactic fermentation and ageing in steel and terracotta amphora. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration

Aroma: red wild berries, strawberries and raspberries with an appealing wild note
Taste: medium-bodied, with silky tannins, in excellent balance with aromatic intensity and acidity. Persistent finish
