Vine
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grape 100% that extends in the Orsogna (CH) area at an altitude of about 300/450 metres above sea level. The planting type is partly guyot and partly Abruzzese pergola.
Winery
The grapes, after careful selection, are destemmed and crushed, the skins are left in contact with the must with their own indigenous yeasts for 10/15 days at a constant temperature of 25/28°C. The aging takes place partly in oak barrels and partly in stainless steel tanks for at least four months. Followed by bottle aging.
Wine
On tasting, it presents an impenetrable ruby red colour. Aroma of red fruit and sour cherry jam throughout, with slight notes of cocoa and toasting completing the bouquet. Warm taste, appropriately tannic and therefore soft, intense, and with the typical almond finish. Ideal with platters of cured meats, grilled and oven-cooked meats, and first courses with very structured sauces.

Grapes: Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 100%
Year: 2019
Alcohol content: 13.5% - Format: 75cl
Aging: steel, bottle
Tasting: Cherry red colour. Fruity and floral aroma. Fresh and savoury taste
Pairings: cold cuts, first courses, light meats
Certifications: organic certification

It presents a broad and intense aroma, with predominant fruity notes, opening with cherries and blueberries, followed by spicy scents of tertiary origin (i.e., derived from aging) with hints of cocoa, coffee, tobacco, and leather. The tasting of this red made from dried grapes is surprising, the astringency produced by the tannins and the freshness of the acidity integrate with the natural sweetness of the wine. Overall harmonious, velvety, soft, and with a long persistence.
